Lates

We are officially approved to compete as a DCI sanctioned, competing Corps.

At our evaluation camp we showed 10 trumpets, 5 Mellophones, 10 Baritones, 2 Euphoniums and 5 Contras in the Horn Line.

7 snares 3 Quints 5 Bass drums and 7 in the pit.

8 very talented color guard members that looked incredible.

DCI also saw the entire corps on the field with two minutes of music and drill. (Including color guard drill with work, and completed pit parts being played well.) What an auspicious beginning. Our staff is just as impressive; we saw the whole guard staff, including the former guard caption of Jade, a member of Fantasia, a member of Corona and a former member of the Velvet Knights.

On our percussion staff includes; ex-Crossmen, ex-Blue Devils, ex-Pacific Crest, ex RCC winter drumline, ex-Kingsmen, ex-Velvet Knights.

There were on the 5 horn staff, including ex-Freelancers, ex-Cadets, ex-Renegade, ex-Blast and professional educators, ex-pro musicians.

And last but not least our visual staff made up of an ex-Cadet, ex-Velvet Knights, 2 ex-Vanguard, ex-Spirit, ex-Blast and our dance movement yoga guru who was a former professional Broadway dancer and senior corps alum.

Saving the best for last, we had 12 parent volunteers at camp doing chaperone sleep-over, cooking, serving food, errands; Starbuck coffee runs. They were willing to do anything needed, unbelievable. And of course kudos to our board of directors for making it all happen.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

THE VELVET KNIGHTS RIDE AGAIN!
